Overall What is your opinion of the quality of this item? I was quite surprised with this pen and I think it is well worth the money. I acquired this pen in person at Fahrney's in red with a fine point nib. The body of the pen is very well constructed and beautiful. I like the weight of the body and it is well balanced. I do not post the cap while writing so I cannot provide any comment for those who do. The herringbone pattern on the cap and body line up when the cap is secured which tells me this is a well engineered pen. I really love Conklin's large two-tone nibs with the crescent breather hole. The pen writes very well, though the nib did require a bit of a break-in period. The nib has a small amount of flex to it which I like. I'm very happy with this pen.
