A beautiful pen

Overall
Typical pelikan quality, even in an entry level fountain pen. Beautiful fit and finish. I chose the Mars red, and it's beautiful with its gold accents.
This pen is balanced nicely, fairly light. It fits my small for a man sized hands and feels good writing. Nib is smooth and ink flows easily from the first use.
Easily filled with pelikans great plunger system.
Even without being a limited edition, this pen is fairly priced. You get what you pay for, and this pen is well worth the asking price.
What is your opinion of the quality of this item?
A fine pen, either for those just learning the joys of a fountain, or as an everyday pen for someone with several.

Lovely Pens

These pens are excellent Pelikan quality. The steel nibs are very smooth and the pens appear to be beautifully made. They wrote very satisfactorily right out of the box.
I very extravagantly bought both pens as I couldn't decide which was prettier. They don't disappoint. The translucent resin is gorgeous, and the colours rich. The pens are piston fillers, which I like, as I tend to write a lot, and I haven't had any problems with the mechanisms. The pens come in lovely leather pouches inside good presentation boxes, and they all survived the trip to Australia without a hitch.
The pens, like all Pelikans in this series, are very light and quite short. This suits me very well as I have medium sized hands with arthritis, and I don't like large heavy pens. I have written for hours with these two beauties without tiring. They post well, and are well-balanced either posted or unposted.
These are at the high end of the range of prices for the M200 line of pens, and I wonder whether this is because they are limited editions. I had to destroy my savings account to buy both, and although I love them, I'm not entirely convinced that it was objectively full value for money. I can't help feeling that Pelikan charges a premium for its name.

I love these two pens, and am very pleased with my purchase. They look so perfect together too!
