What is your opinion of the quality of this item? Beautiful fit and finishing distinctive appearance. The shape takes getting used to, but is comfortable to write with. Simple click, what could be easier For a DuPont this is a great value, it is the smoothest writing ball point I own. A great every day pen but writes far better than your typical hotter. While on the low end of the DuPont price scale, this is a great every day pen.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? I like the design and feel of this pen. But the barrel material is very thin, flimsy and delicate. Too delicate for a working pen. The first time this pen fell off the desk and hit the floor the barrel broke. ST Dupont would not stand behind their product. With the exception of a glass fountain pen, any pen should be made of materials strong enough to survive falling out of a purse/briefcase, a missed shot at a coat pocket, or a roll off a desk. This pen is not made form materials that will stand upto every day life. I line the design, it feels good in the hand, writes smoothly. When it arrived I immediately has concerns about the quality of the barrel material. My concerns proved to be valid.
