Faber Castell is understated in my view--they can compete with the very best fountain pen makers and do so nicely! The pen is sturdy, but the nib is the focus! smooth and sure on the page--writes like a much more expensive nib--no flex, but a good pen for work. I have the graphite black/charcoal and love the feel. Now the cap is very highly polished and is unfortunately a finger print smudge attractor--but get past it! life is messy and this pen is worth a rub on your shirt tail now and then! I love the FC logo on the cap end!

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? This is an excellent fountain pen for writing. Fantastic hexagonal design. In extra-fine nib, this fountain pen is perfect for writing. Well worth its price. I would buy the whole set.
