Overall What is your opinion of the quality of this item? Faber Castell is understated in my view--they can compete with the very best fountain pen makers and do so nicely! The pen is sturdy, but the nib is the focus! smooth and sure on the page--writes like a much more expensive nib--no flex, but a good pen for work. I have the graphite black/charcoal and love the feel. Now the cap is very highly polished and is unfortunately a finger print smudge attractor--but get past it! life is messy and this pen is worth a rub on your shirt tail now and then! I love the FC logo on the cap end!

This is an excellent fountain pen for writing. Fantastic hexagonal design. In extra-fine nib, this fountain pen is perfect for writing. Well worth its price. What is your opinion of the quality of this item? I would buy the whole set.
