What is your opinion of the quality of this item? This pen is only slightly thicker than a Cross Century, has a good weight for a relatively thin pen. The pen twists open with a distinct detent, and writes quite smooth. I do expect it to write even better when I insert a Monte Verde refill, which I have found to be the best flowing refills in my experience. The overall fit and finish is very good in an old school manner as there is no step between the cap an barrel. Plating is jewel-like and the pen sits low and discreet in your pocket. Overall a functional but beautiful pen that will compliment any dress outfit
