What is your opinion of the quality of this item? Having used Cross pens for over 50 years I was thrilled that they finally came out with a fatter pen which fits better in the hand. At first I didn't like the rollerball but as I got used to it I began to prefer it to the ballpoint. (I originally ordered 2 ballpoint refills & as I got used to the rollerball I recently ordered 2 of them. Cross has always been a good name brand & I don't think you can beat this rollerball pen for the money As I have gotten older I can no longer do calligraphy because my hand has been damaged. I always had a beautiful handwriting. But now I find that my new handwriting with this rollerball has a distinct characteristic of its own that is indeed imperfect but lovely in a way. Plus I enjoy using this pen. Now that I'm used to the rollerball I love it but it took a while to get used to it as I had never had one before. I take notes about the films I see & it's by my side along with a journal always.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? I've tried many refills in my Mont Blanc 163, but this is undoubtedly the best. Very much so. Less expensive than the lesser quality Mont Blanc Rollerball refills and lasts 5-10 times as long. Highly recommended. If this refill can be made to fit in your pen , then you can do no better. The black of this gel ink is the deepest I've seen and it writes oh so smoothly. Wrap a bit of tape on the end to extend the refill to the end of the barrel (or however works for your pen) and be ready for the best writing experience next to a fountain pen.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? plastic barrel keeps costs down, but hope that screw on top continues to work. more or less every day pen, nothing special
