I got piston converters for almost all of my fountain pens so I could (in some cases) match the pen barrels to the ink color for specific speciality inks (e.g.: Jacques Herbin Eclats Fine art (Watercolor) ink, Monteverde Color Changing Ink, etc.) for both sketching and writing. I love being able to use the seemingly endless array of gorgeous bottled fountain pen inks and not be limited to just the common colors that come in standard fountain pen ink cartridges.
