It never fails to write, even after weeks of non use. I got a wide nib and it just glides across the paper. Makes nice calligraphic writing.
Bend the pen in a certain way and it gives nice thin graceful line, flat-on and it becomes bold beautiful flat line. Your A,B,C’s will take on an entirely new look. Just Beautiful.

I’ve owned my Montblanc 149 for fifteen years. I’m about to hand it to my grandson as a graduation gift. It is such a pleasure to write with. Like gold on silk. It is inspiring to use and has never failed me. I would recommend regular cleaning, Montblanc ink only, and find yourself high cotton content paper. Writing Nirvana.
