Amodex Ink and Stain Remover

It is also safe to use on almost all surfaces including fabrics, carpets, upholstery/microsuede, leather, flooring, tile and stone, glass and metal, whiteboards and much more.
How to Use your Amodex Ink and Stain Remover Kits
Pre-Treat your laundry
- Apply Amodex to stains. Use it to treat rings on shirt collars and cuffs.
- Gently rub with your toothbrush.
- Launder with your other washables using your regular detergent. Amodex is safe even for spotting stains and leaving on the fabric until you are ready to launder.
Spot Treat Stains or Before Dry Cleaning
- Treat stains as you would before laundering but rinse thoroughly to remove all Amodex.
Upholstery, Carpets and Draperies
- Apply a few drops of Amodex to your stain.
- Rub in well with your Amodex brush, a toothbrush or a clean cloth.
- Continue rubbing stained area until the stain disappears. Be careful not to rub too hard on delicate surfaces.
- Rinse the Amodex. (For small areas, we advise using a spray bottle filled with clean water. For large areas on carpets or upholstery, a cleaning machine filled with clean water works best.)
- Rinse thoroughly. Air dry or dry with a hairdryer to avoid any watermarks on delicate fabric.
Note: Should the stained area turn yellow after treating with Amodex do not worry. Occasionally it is difficult to completely rinse carpets or upholstery. The yellow is dried Amodex residue. Simply rinse the area again thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry.
Stains on Surfaces
- Apply Amodex to the surface.
- Rub in well with a rag or coat the surface and leave the Amodex on overnight.
- Wipe clean with a damp rag.
Stains on Leather
- Apply Amodex to the stained area.
- Gently scrape Amodex in to the stain with your fingernail.
- Continue rubbing until stain disappears.
- Wipe area clean with a damp rag.
Note: Amodex is a liquid. When applied to leather, the fabric will darken just as it would if it were wet. Once the area dries, it will return to the normal color.
Heavy Ink Stains and Other Stubborn Stains
- Place paper towel under stain.
- Apply Amodex to the stain.
- Gently rub with toothbrush or your fingernail.
- As stain appears on paper towel move the towel to a clean area. (When removing heavy ink stains, continue working the stained area until no more ink appears on the paper towel).
- Rinse area thoroughly under faucet using warm water. Continue rubbing area while rinsing or launder.
- Well-set stains including ink marks may require a second application. On second application apply Amodex to wet surface. Allow Amodex to set on the stain for several hours or overnight, then repeat fist 5 steps.
Note: On very heavy ink spots (for example those caused by leaks) especially those in pockets are difficult to remove. We do not guarantee that Amodex will always remove heavy ink spots.
Stains on Hands and Skin
- Apply several drops of Amodex directly on skin or apply to a wash cloth.*
- Rub stained area well.
- Rinse with water or wipe off the Amodex with a cloth or towel.
- For stubborn stains repeat application. Amodex is completely non-toxic.
Note: Never wet stain on your skin before using Amodex.
*When using Amodex with applicator brush, simply rub stained area with brush until all marks are gone.
Removing Marker Stains on Fabric
- Apply Amodex to stained area. DO NOT WET AREA.
- Rub in well with a stiff brush or your fingernail.
- Continue rubbing until the ink is almost gone.
- Rinse or launder.
Note: The center area of marker stains will disappear first. keep rubbing until the edges are clean.
Removing Marker Stains from Walls and Woodwork
- Apply a thin coat of Amodex to stained area.
- Rub in with a DRY Mr. Clean Eraser®.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Removing Marker Stains from Plastic, Finished Stone, or other Porous Objects
- Apply a thin coat of Amodex to stained area.
- Leave on for several hours or overnight.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Removing Marker Stains from Metal, Glass and other Non-Porous Objects
- Apply Amodex to a rag.
- Rub the stained area with the cloth.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Removing Stains from a Whiteboard or Smartboard
- Apply Amodex to a rag or paper towel.
- Rub over the whiteboard surface.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Note: Amodex will remove permanent marker that is accidentally used on a whiteboard, smartboard or other such surface. Follow directions for "Other Porous Surfaces".
*Amodex is not recommended to treat rust or mildew stains.
