Celebrate National Handwriting Day 2019 & Enter Fahrney’s Pens Annual Handwriting Contest!

Fahrney’s Pens invites writers of all ages to celebrate National Handwriting Day on January 23, 2019, and to enter its eighth annual Handwriting Day Contest.

This year’s contest winner will receive a beautiful Platinum 3776 fountain pen in Chenonceau White – a $220 value!

National Handwriting Day takes place on January 23rd as a birthday tribute to John Hancock whose famous bold signature resides on the Declaration of Independence. Sponsored by the Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association (WIMA), National Handwriting Day is a reminder of the importance of this essential skill and a chance for all of us to re-explore the purity and power of handwriting – the quintessential method of unique and personal expression.

To enter, share with us when you first used a fountain pen and what kind of pen it was.

All entries must be handwritten and can be dropped off at Fahrney’s downtown DC retail store or submitted by mail, fax or email to Fahrney’s headquarters by midnight on January 31, 2019.

Store Location:
