Wow! Nice Pen!

What is your opinion of the quality of this item?
As soon as I put in the cartridge I was able to write with this pen without any coaxing of the ink or any nib preparation. And it writes smooth! The pen has nice weight to it and a nice, sturdy metallic feel. It's my new favorite fountain pen!

Another Fine Sheaffer Product!

What is your opinion of the quality of this item?
The Sheaffer Taranis is a well made, solid pen and beautiful in the Gun Metal finish. The weight is heavy enough for a man, yet a pleasant writing experience for a smaller hand.The medium steel nib is a smooth writer, tending towards fine. The enclosed converter is Sheaffer quality. The snap cap is firm and I was so pleased with this pen, I purchased another as a gift! The pen comes with a three year warranty! It is always a pleasure to do business with Fahrney's.

Very nice pen, if you like the looks

What is your opinion of the quality of this item?
I recently ordered the Schaeffer Taranis from Fahrneys pens. I ordered the medium nib. The pen shipped quickly and was very well packaged. It seems to me that people either love or hate the styling of this pen. Which ever camp you fall in, there is no denying that this is a very nice writing instrument. It has a nice half to it, it writes smoothly, the filler works well, and it is nicely boxed. The medium never has nice income flow, with no scratchiness. I received it, I took it to work to show a colleague who is also a fountain pen user. He like it well enough that he is now considering picking up the Ferrari version.

Great Everyday Workhorse

Compared to some very expensive fountain pens, you can indeed see the differences with this pen and those luxury ones. However, I do not like to carry my Pelikan M1000 around in my pocket every day. This pen is more than adequate for everyday use, and would be a lot less traumatic to use. It is smooth, easy writing and leaves a very clear, uniform line. I like this pen very much.

This pen is indeed worth the price of the purchase. It comes with a converter and uses cartridges that are neat and easy to use.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item?
I like this pen for everyday use. It is a workhorse and looks good during its use. I would highly recommend this pen for use in everyday situations where one might not want to carry his/her most valuable, luxury pens.
