Handsome design, smooth writing with a Fine nib. One of the best writing pens I have ever used. Definitely is the best one I've used in its price range.

The Sheaffer Taranis is a well made, solid pen and beautiful in the Gun Metal finish. I recently ordered the Schaeffer Taranis from Fahrneys pens. I ordered the medium nib. The pen shipped quickly and was very well packaged. It seems to me that people either love or hate the styling of this pen. Which ever camp you fall in, there is no denying that this is a very nice writing instrument. It has a nice half to it, it writes smoothly, the filler works well, and it is nicely boxed. The medium never has nice income flow, with no scratchiness. I received it, I took it to work to show a colleague who is also a fountain pen user. He like it well enough that he is now considering picking up the Ferrari version.

What is your opinion of the quality of this item? Compared to some very expensive fountain pens, you can indeed see the differences with this pen and those luxury ones. However, I do not like to carry my Pelikan M1000 around in my pocket every day. This pen is more than adequate for everyday use, and would be a lot less traumatic to use. It is smooth, easy writing and leaves a very clear, uniform line. I like this pen very much. This pen is indeed worth the price of the purchase. It comes with a converter and uses cartridges that are neat and easy to use. I like this pen for everyday use. It is a workhorse and looks good during its use. I would highly recommend this pen for use in everyday situations where one might not want to carry his/her most valuable, luxury pens.
