You will be hard-pressed to find nibs this smooth and responsive! In addition to regular writing nibs, Sailor offers the unique Music nib. Originally created for composers, the Music nib is like an italic point with smooth edges - up and down strokes are thick, while the side strokes are thinner. This excellent fountain pen uses cartridge or converter fills.

Great writer

I hadn't tried this pen before purchasing it, but the fine folks at Fahrneys helped me select the right pen, a sailor 1911 MF nib. I usually prefer fine, but I was guided correctly to up my nib size to MF. Though not an overly wet writer, it writes smoothy. Plus, it always writes - no hard starts or skips. It is lightweight, even when posted - and I always post, because it's not a long pen. It has become my daily go-to. Great pen, great company.

This is my first high quality fountain pen, but I am stunned at the quality of the writing experience. Smooth solid flow with just the slightest pressure. Hasn't skipped yet. It has me excited about writing anything by hand.I may have a new addiction
