The Naginata-Togi nibs are part of the 2019 relaunch of the Sailor Special Nib Program. The Sailor Naginata-Togi nibs have a rounded tipping that provides variable line width, depending on the angle of the pen to the paper. The lower the angle, the broader the line. The Sailor Naginata-Togi nibs have generous ink flow, and write very smoothly across the page. Please note that the nib designation (MF, M, B) refers to the line width when the pen is in a fully vertical writing position. All Naginata-Togi write a double broad width in a normal writing position. This specially tipped nib resembles the Japanese Long Sword, which is what Naginata-Togi means. The nib sizes available in the Naginata-Togi are Medium-Fine, Medium and Broad only. The pen body is specific to the new Special Nib Program, with a unique cap band, special nib engraving, and a slightly different section, so that the nib and section will NOT interchange with any other Sailor pen from the regularly available lineup.
