What is your opinion of the quality of this item?
The filling mechanism functions smoothly and flawlessly. The precision of design/construction is quite apparent in the "feel" of this pen during use.
The resin body of swirling earth tones along with a deft occasional swirl of deep-water blue are most striking next to the gold plated accent rings, clip and strikingly crafted nib.
The large pen feels very comfortable in the hand, making cursive writing most enjoyable. As with all Pelikan pens, the nib glides smoothly and effortlessly over the writing surface.
Expensive, but well worth the cost!
A memorable pen that should be part of every aficionado's collection. Named after the Grand Place in Brussels, so owning one is especially significant in light of the current tragic events of 21March16 in that European city.
