S.T. Dupont reimagines a classic with the launch of its new
“Initial” collection. The Initial is the perfect everyday writing
instrument. A luxurious pen that combines classic design and
high-quality craftsmanship with great value, each pen is durable,
well balanced and affordably priced. The new Initial replaces S.T.
Dupont’s D-initial, offering a similar quality writing experience
but with exciting updates and improved functionality. The new
Initial offers an ergonomic design with a slimmer silhouette and A
a newly-designed cap that posts with ease. Also new is the iconic
Sword clip design and the Dupont logo on the cap top. The Initial
fountain pen holds a polished stainless steel ‘Angel Wing’ medium
nib, plated to match the pen’s trim. The collection features six
elegant finishes including duo-tone black lacquer with etched
chrome cap, black on black combination with black matte accents,
white lacquer with gold-plated trim, black lacquer with gold-plate,
and black lacquer with chrome-plate. Each finish is available in
fountain pen with steel ‘Angel Wing’ nib, capped rollerball or twist
ball pen. The Initial rollerball and ball pen are also available in

The return of S.T. Dupont’s Classique collection
In 1971, S.T. Dupont received a special order: Jackie Onassis wanted a ballpoint pen to
match her lighter. The company did not manufacture writing instruments but decided to
take up the challenge. S.T. Dupont’s craftsmen were inspired by the brass and design of
its Ligne 1 lighter. They transposed the vertical metal guilloche of the lighter mechanism
onto the barrel of a pen. All the expertise of the goldsmiths was called upon to develop
the first S.T. Dupont pen. More than 50 years later, S.T. Dupont introduces a new version
of the first ever luxury writing instrument. The 1970’s design icon is now slightly thicker,
unisex and more ergonomic, while preserving the features that made it so elegant and
timeless such as the articulated clip with iconic lacquer detail. The Classique is offered in
five different colorways with iconic palladium and gold guilloche and natural lacquering.
